RESEARCH ABSTRACT ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF

THE PUMPS MOVED BY THE DRAUGHT ANIMAL POWER

Donna nei campi

There is in progress a research on electrical pumps whose electricity is supplied by the draught animals.

These, walking around in a circular track, move a round multiplier that is joined to an electric generator that feeds the pump.

As well known, animal traction, exerted on a circular track, is still used today to drive mill to crush oilseeds, sugar cane and grains and also to operate pump systems.

Although several patents were filed over the past decades, there aren’t known real applications of animal traction to generate electricity.

The usefulness is evident if one considers that even today there are hundreds of millions working animals that are used for agricultural works in areas where the lack of electricity is well known.
